She’d been really excited to see Theo again after their first date. Things had gone really well for them. It had really helped her get over Taylor. The next day she was off again and she was expecting to receive an owl or something from him but nothing came. She figured he was busy and she spent all day reading, but not without getting distracted with thoughts of him.
The next day arrived and it was time to go back to work. She expected him to show up and she even dressed really cute in case he did, but he never showed. This happened for the next two weeks and she became tired. She began to feel like it was just a dream. Like nothing actually happened. Like he was a figment of her imagination and that it was too good to be true. She wasn’t expecting him to show after those two weeks.
Pixie sighed as she stocked the shelves. She wasn’t her usual peppy self. Why did every guy she went out with do this to her? They didn’t show up or they started ignoring her even after they had a good time with each other. She was beginning to think she was doing everything wrong. Maybe she’d stop dating for a while. All it ever led to was disappointment.
She rearranged some shelves and heard the bell from the door. “Hi welcome!” she announced before she walked over to the front of the store. She stopped in her tracks to see Theo. Oh so he was real. “Oh....hi,” she said in a soft voice before looking down. She could feel her heart sink to her stomach and she felt the tears in her eyes but she refused to cry in front of him. She would save her tears for when she was alone at home or something. “Been a while,” she said as she turned around to stock some more books. “Come for another book recommendation?” she asked rather coldly.

Theo was excited to spend time with pixie but of course things couldn't run the right the way. He went home and things seemed to take a turn. His mother was upset since he hadn't done anything she wanted. Theo didn't even get a second to owl pixie, his mood slipped and things got worse.
His mom would send over girls for him to date and have a luncheon with. He was rude to each and every one. His mother would just get worse and tell him how he was never going no where. He wouldn't find a woman to take care of and have children. It went on and on beating down in his head. His father was the force to be wreckin with. Things got bad one night and his father got rough.
Theo left the house and smoked a cigarette out back, his face bruised and busted a bit. He sighed and relaxed. It had been two weeks when things finally settled. Theo had a little bandage over his eye brow still. He removed all bandages and used his magic to cover all his marks and bruises.
He was going to be surprise if Pixie was even going to talk to him again. He sighed and headed to the book shop, heading inside. The moment she saw him he noticed the excitement was gone. “Pixie…” he sighed and walked over to her. “When you off? We can go out today if your not busy. I got caught up with work, sorry I didn't get a chance to reach out.” He said lying to her.
They barely knew each other still, and his home life was not a subject he wanted to talk about.

“Pixie…” She could hear something in his voice that made her turn back around. “When you off? We can go out today if your not busy. I got caught up with work, sorry I didn't get a chance to reach out.” She stared at him for a moment. She wasn’t sure if she wanted to go out with him but she was afraid. “That’s what happened last time,” she said before walking away to grab a box of unruly books. "I thought we had a good time."
She sighed as she crouched down. “I’m sorry that was uncalled for,” she apologized as she looked up at him. “It just happens to me a lot more than you can think. It’s not your fault,” she said before she put on a pair of dragon hide gloves and started going for the books. She knew how to tame them, but she wanted to make sure she wouldn’t get bitten again. It’d happened more times than she would have liked to admit.
Still she didn’t answer him. She didn’t know if she wanted to. She looked down and paused for a moment. “I’m off in like an hour,” she replied finally with a shrug. She sighed again. Did she really want to go through that again or did she want to stick to what she’d said before? She’d just sworn off dating not even 10 minutes ago. She bit her lip and looked up at him. Why did he have to be so darn handsome?
“Uh...sure, if you don’t mind waiting for an hour.” She looked down at her clothes. “Should probably find something a little nicer to wear too,” she said with a soft chuckle. “I actually look like an old librarian today.”

“That’s what happened last time,” she said before walking away to grab a box of unruly books. "I thought we had a good time.” Theo frowned not wanting her to feel that. ‘If only you knew pixie.’ Was all he could think to himself. “No your right, don't be sorry.” He sighed and shoved his hands in his pockets.
Pixie looked up at him. “It just happens to me more than you think.” He sighed and nodded. “I understand.” Was all he could say. She was quiet for a bit and he was ready to turn and leave. Until she turned and said he would have to wait. He nodded, “ alright good, cause I don't know where we are going yet.” He said with a small smile. He looked at her clothes and thought about it.
“I'll be back.” He said leaving and going to a couple shops. He came back bringing a new sundress wrapped in a box for her, along with a single rose not wanting to over do it.
About an hour later, he walked in to the book store. “Alright ready?” He asked and then smiled hold the box on his side, hold the rose in his hand. “I brought you a new outfit.” He said with a grin.

“ alright good, cause I don't know where we are going yet.” She got up and chuckled. “I'll be back.” he said before he left the store. She found herself smiling and shaking her head as she finished up her job. She wondered what he had in store for them, but she didn’t want to get her hopes up exactly.
An hour later she was finally off and just like clockwork he came back into the store holding and box and a rose. She smiled at him and took the rose he was handing her. She smelled it and felt the butterflies again. “Alright ready?” She chuckled and nodded. “What’s in the box?” she asked him curiously.
“I brought you a new outfit.” She laughed a little. “So you’ve been busy huh?” she asked as she took the box from him. “I’ll be right back. I’m going to go change into it. Let’s see what you picked out,” she said. She walked off into the bathroom and opened the box to see a beautiful pink dress with some white lace around the chest and a floppy sunhat. She chuckled before putting it on. She fixed her makeup a little and walked out beaming at him. “What do you think?” she asked as she did a little twirl. “I love it, it’s really cute!”
She looked down at her dress and then looked back up at him. “I can’t believe you actually went shopping for a new dress. I was just going to go home and pick one out,” she replied. “Thank you,” she said before giving him a kiss on the cheek. “What did you have in mind?”

Theo noticed the energy had returned to her and was thankful for that. He just worried for if this ever happened again. He sighed internally as she went off to get dressed and did herself. He smiled when she came out and grinned wider. “you look beautiful.” He said simply.
She twirled for him and he watched her, the twirl slowing down in his head. He enjoyed watching her like this. He took her hand and thought about his plan and shrugged. “Just something simple today.” He said with a grin.
He had a car outside and opened the door so she could get in first. He slid in behind her the driver already talking them to the well known park. It was starting to get a little dark and the lights lit up the whole park. The car stopped and he got a bottle of champagne and a blanket from the car.
He handed her a couple glasses, “alright..let's go find a good spot.” He grinned leading the way. He found an area that was private between some trees and laid down the blanket. He popped the bottle and took the glasses, pouring one each of them. “Just thought we could relax,” he said sitting down on the blanket and sighing.
He needed this, he hoped his energy wasn't showing it. He just wanted things to be good. He was still sore but he hid that as well as he could, as he laid down on the blanket.
“I'm sorry again. For the past couple weeks.” He said propping himself up a little so he could sip the glass.

“Just something simple today.” he answered. She smiled and nodded. “Okay,” she replied as he led her outside. There was a car waiting for them outside and he opened the door for her. She slid in all the way and he went in after her. She looked out the window and smiled as the car drove. The sun was setting and it was getting kind of dark.
The car finally stopped at a park and he got out a bottle of champagne and a blanket. She took some glasses from him as he handed them to her. “alright..let's go find a good spot.” he said as he led the way.
He found a secluded spot in the midst of some trees and set the blanket down. . “Just thought we could relax,” he said. She smiled as she sat down on the blanket. He poured the two glasses and smiled. “Sounds good. These past couple of weeks have been hell. For some reason it’s been super busy,” she replied.
“I'm sorry again. For the past couple weeks.” She gave him a bit of a sad smile as she looked at her glass. “It’s alright.” She couldn’t ask him to tell her to let her know next time because she wasn’t even his girlfriend. She knew that she couldn’t ask that much of him. What if he was really busy. “Things happen. People get busy. It’s fine. I was just really worried for a moment there that you didn’t want to have anything to do with me after the last time we saw each other,” she said before taking a small sip of her champagne. “I thought we had fun last time and we talked about doing stuff together. I just thought you were ghosting me for some reason. Starting to thin I did something wrong,” she said with a small smile.
She looked at him before lying down with him, being extra careful not to spill her glass. “I’m glad you came back though. I was starting to think I imagined it all,” she half-joked.

Theo shook his head. “I wouldn't do that.” He said shrugging. “Don't think I wouldn't be interested and just drop you. Believe me you would know if I wasn't. I want to say this is the last time this will happen it I can't promise that.” He said shrugging. “I can't be honey with you that it won't be.” He said and then sighed.
Theo chuckled and pulled her closer to him. “I'm very interested.” He said kissing her head. “I don't plan on going anywhere. I just have baggage.” He said shrugging not really wanting to explain.
“Enough about me… so what have you been up to..” he said, turning to her a bit his face remaining clear of any signs of pain he may have.

. “I wouldn't do that.” She wanted to take that as reassurance but she wasn’t sure if she could. “Don't think I wouldn't be interested and just drop you. Believe me you would know if I wasn't. I want to say this is the last time this will happen it I can't promise that.” She gave him a small smile. “I can't be honey with you that it won't be.” She nodded.
She blushed as he pulled her closer to her. “I'm very interested.” he said before giving her a kiss on the head. “I don't plan on going anywhere. I just have baggage.” he added. “Enough about me… so what have you been up to..”
She gave him a look. “I don’t mind if you have baggage, everyone does,” she said with a small smile. “I mean I’m just glad you came back is all.” She took a sip of her champagne, being careful not to spill it on her new dress. “And I guess it helps that you came back new clothes,” she said with a chuckle. “I haven’t been up to much of anything. Just doing what I’m always doing. Nose always stuck in a book. Actually I took it upon myself to go to the ballet studio again. Haven’t done that in a while. It was fun it was relaxing.”
She looked at him. She noticed something different about his demeanor. “What about you? What have you been up to besides work lately? Whatever it was seems to have gotten to you pretty deep.”

Theo chuckled at the mention of her nose being stuck in a book. “Sounds like a good time.” He chuckled and sat up a bit, sipping his champagne. In all honesty he wanted a smoke but he didn't do that around pixie. At least not yet, besides just before their date last time.
“What about you? What have you been up to besides work lately? Whatever it was seems to have gotten to you pretty deep.” He made a face and then smiled shaking his head. “Just busy.” He shrugged not sure what else to tell her.
Theo drank the rest of his glass and poured another. “More?” He asked topping off her glass. “So are you studying anything, to be an auror or healer?” He asked curiously. She had to do something else besides read books. He pulled his want out and fixed a light that was next to them, noticing it was broken. The area lit up just a bit and he tucked his wand away, looking at the time on his watch.

“Just busy.” he replied simply. It seemed like he didn’t want to talk about it, but she was going to get him to talk eventually. Maybe not right now. She didn’t want to ruin anything now. They both finished the rest of their champagne and he topped off her glass.
“So are you studying anything, to be an auror or healer?” he asked. She gave him a small smile. She couldn’t tell him now could she? She watched as he fixed a broken light around them and wished she could do magic. No. Maybe now wasn’t the time. “I don’t actually know what to do right now to be honest. I know a lot of useless information, but I don’t really have a plan for anything right now,” she replied. Plus she wasn’t going to outright tell him she was in the Order.
“Just sort of floating between jobs and everything right now, you know. What about you? What are you planning on doing in the future?” She laughed a little. “In our world we’re sort of expected to know all of this by now huh? My sister is trying to go into get into politics. She wants to eventually become the Minister of Magic one day and she’s always chiding me to find something to do with my life.” Of course her sister was a bitch to her all the time, but that was something to think about for another time.

“I don’t actually know what to do right now to be honest. I know a lot of useless information, but I don’t really have a plan for anything right now,” Theo nodded and smiled at her. He didn't expect her to know. He was just curious.

He chuckled and shrugged. “I understand that life,” he chuckled again.
“Family business as of right now.” He shrugged. “It's been decided for years.” He said not at all sounding excited about it in the least bit. He sipped his champagne and shrugged. “Are you hungry?” He asked, not wanting to starve her on this date.

Family business as of right now. he replied. He didn’t seem so enthused about it. She gave him a curious look. “Oh?” She asked curiously. “What’s the business?” She asked.
She took another sip of her champagne and felt her cheeks starting to get warm. The champagne was starting to get to her. She didn’t drink very often and she probably should have mentioned that earlier but she didn’t feel the need to.
”Are you hungry?” he asked. She wasn’t particularly so, but she definitely figured she should get something in her stomach. Pixie shrugged. “I could eat,” she replied with a small smile. She started giggling a little bit and she put her glass down. “Sorry, I should have mentioned I get quite giggly with drinks like this,” she said as she blushed. “I don’t drink very much,” she added with another giggle.

She asked about the business and he shrugged as if it were no big deal. “Just work with magician objects.” He said not really getting into the knotty gritty part of things. “Not the funest job i think.” He shrugged again and then raised his brows noticing the pink in her face and the giggles. Oh well they did finish the bottle. He noticed looking down at it. He smirked at her and moved his fingers over hers on the blanket.
He nodded agreeing for food. He knew it would probably help her at this point. “Sorry, I should have mentioned I get quite giggly with drinks like this,” she said and he shrugged. “I don’t drink very much,” she giggled again and he shook his head.
“Come on let's get something to eat.” He said helping her up. He waved his wand to wrap up everything and shrink it down, storing those things in his pocket.
He held her close while walking to the closet place to eat, pizza. “This okay? I mean I know it's not really diet food.” He said with a smirk. “It will soak up the alcohol though.”

He helped her up and she laughed a little. She started to feel wobbly. She watched as he made everything pocket sized and put everything in his pocket. Pixie held onto him so she wouldn’t fall and before she knew it they were at a pizza place.
This okay? I mean I know it's not really diet food.”. She made a face but shrugged. Whatever would soak up the alcohol was good enough for her. “This is fine. I love pizza, just don’t eat it much.” She stuck her tongue out at him. “You’re going to make me fat,” she joked.
She sat down in a chair and propped her head on her hand as she smiled at him. “I like you you’re cute,” she said with a giggle. “I missed you while you were gone,” she said. She stared at him and giggled again. She reached out and grabbed his hand and played with his fingers.
The server came to their table and asked them for drinks. She looked up at him with one eye open and smiled at him. “Oh hi! Can I have a water please?” She asked rather loudly. She covered her mouth and laughed. “I’m sorry, I mean can I have a water please?” She whispered. She looked at Theo and giggled. The server looked unamused to left to grab their drink orders.
Pixie picked up the menu and set it down immediately. “Theo,” she whispered. “I can’t read the menu. You decide. I trust your decision,” she said with a small giggle.
